Description:

Safety Worxs is seeking a Local Denver, CO candidate tosupport compliance with OSHA regulations and site-specific safety protocols on a heavy construction project.

You will be conducting safety audits, coaching, and mitigating workplace hazards with a new project requiring additional safety oversight.

Responsibilities:
  • Identifies, documents and resolves onsite safety risks or discrepancies during daily site walks.
  • Documents Daily Hazard Analysis (DHA) using Company prescribed procedures and software.
  • Evaluates and identifies all safety equipment needs for project work.
  • Assists in investigations and reporting regarding accidents, injuries or illnesses, fire, property damage and other safety related incidents to ensure timely and compliant resolutions.
  • Recommends improvements based on performed trend analysis.
  • Ensures worksite injuries are accurately documented.
  • Supports evaluation of subcontractors and subcontractor safety programs.
  • Notifies management of any non-compliant safety procedures and participates in corrective action discussions to resolve in a timely manner.
  • Supports toolbox talk content to project site staff within the prescribed frequency, as determined by Site leaders.
  • Presents the progress of the project safety program to leadership, as directed.


Qualifications:
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) with at least 4 years of full-time relevant construction safety and health experience, OR
  • Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Graduate Safety Practitioner (GSP), OR
  • Safety Management Specialist (SMS) with at least 6 years of full-time relevant construction safety and health experience, OR
  • Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) OR
  • Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST) with at least 8 years of full-time relevant construction safety and health experience
  • OSHA 500 for Construction (completed within the last 24 months) and valid throughout the project.
  • CPR, First Aid, and AED Certification (non-expired).
  • FMCSA-compliant 2-hour Drug & Alcohol Reasonable Suspicion Supervisor Training.
  • Knowledge of contractor safety representative responsibilities as per site regulations.

Preferred:
  • Spanish/English bilingual
