Description:
The Assistant General Counsel, PSS & IGS will be responsible formanaging all legal matters for the PSS & IGS businesses of Honeywell's IndustrialAutomation division. In this role, you will be responsible for handling andoverseeing commercial contract template development and negotiations; disputes(formal and informal); intellectual property matters (in conjunction withinternal IP counsel); legal compliance; joint ventures, alliances and M&A;and the budget. You will anticipate and mitigate potential legal problems, aswell as develop strategies to avoid costly litigation and reduce potentialareas of risk tactically and programmatically.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Serving as a key member of the PSS and IGS Law DepartmentLeadership teams
Identifying and analyzing legal issues
Providing legal advice to a range of clients, includingsenior management
Collaborating to effect strategic business objectives
Coaching and development of business partners and teammembers
Identifying areas for process improvement and executingimprovements
Developing and implementing compliance reviews andinitiatives
Selecting, directing and managing external counsel
YOU MUST HAVE
Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent foreign degree
Capacity to be licensed to practice as in-house counsel inNorth Carolina
At least seven years of professional legal experience,including transactional or litigation experience at a law firm or counselingexperience within a corporate legal department
Experience in drafting and negotiating contracts

Experience advising clients in a complex products businesswith global operations
Ability to work independently to execute key initiativesin a timely manner
Experience managing regulatory issues associated with themarketing and selling of products which require FDA, NIOSH and other agency orthird-party certifications
