The Amazon Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) Recruiting team is seeking a talented, customer focused Recruiting Manger with a passion for delighting the client and candidate, to join our organization. In this role you will be supporting Amazon's newly launched Research Labin San Francisco committed to developing foundational capabilities for useful AI agents. We're enabling practical AI to make our customers more productive, empowered, and fulfilled. In particular, our work combines large language models (LLMs) with reinforcement learning (RL) to solve reasoning, planning, and world modeling in both remote and physical environments. Research in the lab builds on that of Amazon's broader AGI organization, which recently introduced Amazon Nova, a new generation of state-of-the-art foundation models (FMs).

Provide high touch, highly engaged recruiting support to the AGI Research Lab team, focused on the engagement and hiring of highly technical talent with deep domain expertise in artificial intelligence and large language models.
Partner with key business, HR and TA stakeholders to determine future talent needs, to set and drive strategic recruiting strategies. This requires a deep understanding through extensive market research of the channels (both domestic US and internationally).
Use strong analytical skills and ability to translate metrics, research, and trends to identify opportunities, interventions, and initiatives for improvement.
Lead and develop a high-performing team in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.
Set team performance goals and metrics, timelines and a formal tracking process to measure and manage progress.
Develop and execute to plans to identify and drive productivity improvements that enable the team to deliver to hiring goals.

About the team

The Artificial General Intelligence team is responsibly advancing the company's generative AI technologies, including Amazon's most expansive multimodal Large Language Models. The AGI Talent Acquisition team is focused on the delivery of top talent in support of this mission. This role will lead a team of full lifecycle recruiters, dedicated to the delivery of talent for the lab. As the leader of this team, you will be working in the office, directly with the lab leadership team to build talent engagement strategies, calibrate on top talent profiles, and deliver results.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree or equivalent post-secondary degree

5+ years of Recruiting and/or HR experience

3+ years direct people leadership experience

2+ years experience building, coaching and managing large dispersed recruiting/sourcing teams

2+ years experience managing and prioritizing multiple projects and client relationships

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

MBA or other advanced degree

Experience in a start up environment leading greenfield organizational builds.

Experience managing senior staff and/or staffing managers

Experience creating, measuring and scaling workflow between Candidates, Hiring Managers and the Recruiting team

Project/Program Management Experience

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Skilled at partnering with hiring teams to build effective sourcing, assessment, and closing approaches with an ability to manage customer/partner expectations through a deep understanding of ROI

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $225,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
