Position Summary
This position is responsible for product evaluation, developing procedures, and executing test plans on new and existing products to ensure that they comply to international and national regulations while maintaining high overall product quality. From hand-held tablet devices to Las Vegas style gaming cabinets, our array of products is diverse and advanced. Interface with regulatory agencies and product development staff to resolve issues in a timely manner. Must have proficient understanding of safety test methodologies and procedures in order to ensure testing efficiency and high level of quality. Product development experience from concept through completion. Organize and lead inter-departmental project meetings as needed.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities
- Knowledge of IEC and UL standards. Additionally international safety schemes such as OSHA's NRTL (Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratories) Program and the IECEE's CB Scheme preferred.
- Lead and approve Safety Design Reviews, solutions layouts, and risk assessments.
- Test, gather data, and prepare technical reports based on project scope. Develop a preliminary plan of test execution, determine testing requirements, and provide technical guidance on product construction.
- Submit and track any product issues found during testing through to the resolution phase, engaging technical subject matter experts and QA Manager.
- Create and maintain best practices procedures related to Safety.
- Provide input to the weekly project status report for each assigned project.
- Provide detailed Completion Report at the end of each project.
- Participate in and provide input in new product development meetings.
- Interface with other members of Product Development to effectively communicate and resolve all reported issues in a timely manner.
- Proficient understanding of test methodologies/procedures and the overall product development lifecycle.
- Reproduce findings and assist engineering in resolving issues.
- Manage, prioritize, and respond to findings for each assigned project.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Requirements

- Experience in leading teams and/or projects
- Oversee and maintain test laboratory and equipment
- Introduce process improvement initiatives
- Mentoring of technical staff
- Establish key contacts with regulatory lab ensuring a good working relationship
Experience and Education
- Experience working with A2LA quality audits and inspections
- Experience acquiring ISO 17025 certification
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies, such as Kaizen, Lean, or Six Sigma to support process improvement initiatives
- Academic and/or proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Basic knowledge of the gaming industry
Education:
- 4-year degree minimum with additional work experience
Required Experience:
- Minimum 5 years, 10 years preferred in relevant Product Safety Regulatory experience
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Working knowledge of electrical engineering with mechanical elements and best hardware design practices
- Experience in EMC and Reliability testing a plus
- Proficiency with TestRails and JIRA a plus
- Excellent written and oral communication skills

Work Conditions:
- The ability to move between projects with little notice and the ability to adapt quickly
- Overtime and weekend hours may be required to meet project schedules
