Under the general supervision of the Director of ASD Clinical Services, the LPES/PhD/School Psychologist will complete review of referrals submitted for DDSN Eligibility. Eligibility determination consists of completing/conducting Autism Spectrum Disorder screenings/ assessments, diagnostic and cognitive assessments, record reviews, and staffing of cases that are diagnostically complex or challenging.

Minimum and Additional Requirements
Must be a Licensed Psychologist (Ph.D or Psy.D) or Licensed Psycho-Educational Specialist (LPES) with at least two (2) years of specialized experience. Must possess a license to practice Psychology in the State of SC, or be a LPES as defined by the SC Department of LLR. Must have training and experience with various evaluation and screening measures-cognitive, adaptive, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), etc. Must have current working knowledge/ understanding of ASD and specific experience. training, and specialization in ASD services. Must possess effective communication skills, verbal and written, and the ability to work cooperatively with families, professionals, and the public. Must maintain a valid SCDL in good standing.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of psychological, educational and developmental needs of individuals with ASD. Knowledge of clinical supervision in ASD cases. Knowledge of policies and procedures relating to community social service programs. Knowledge of specialized needs in education and treatment for individuals with ASD. Ability to present clear and comprehensive oral and written reports. Ability to identify and effectively utilize resources available in the community to accomplish individual objectives. Ability to organize and maintain an appointment case load as necessary. Ability to communicate effectively. Prepares a comprehensive individual evaluation based on initial interviews, standardized test batteries, follow-up interviews and individualized tests.

- Responsible for the completion of comprehensive assessments of individuals seeking DDSN Eligibility.
- Conduct and participate in annual inter-rater reliability training for the Division in the use of all approved diagnostic/screening instruments.
- Actively participate in internal clinical training, peer review, and study of best practices.
- Complete record review of referrals to determine DDSN Eligibility.
- Assist with Eligibility Division Re-Evaluations and Appeals as required.
- Performs additional duties as assigned and participates as a member of the Eligibility Division team.
