WORK SCHEDULE
40 hours per week
Day Shift
This position is hybrid; 1-2 days in office
POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
The Payroll Manager is responsible for overall management and direction of department including all supervisory activities associated with 3 direct reports, including interviewing, hiring, training, and performance monitoring, including, as necessary, progressive discipline and termination. Develop department policies, procedures and workflows. Coordinate staff schedules and assign work. Write and deliver annual performance evaluations. Conduct team meetings. Coordinate coverage for open positions..
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for reviewing the detail work of other employees of the Finance Department related to payroll
Implementation and preparation of payroll reports and reconciliations including regulatory reporting according to applicable employment tax laws and regulations such as IRS Form 941, state unemployment tax and L&I reporting. Identifies and resolves payor specific coding issues and provide feedback to Coding and Charge Capture team as appropriate.
Assess internal controls, including risk assessments and reviews of risk areas, and established internal controls for payroll operations
Create, maintain and communicate payroll process documents and policies and procedures and evaluate current payroll operations and recommends process improvements
Assist with the annual pension and financial audits and preparation of Form 990 compensation and benefit information.
ADP payroll system maintenance and upgrades.
REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors Degree in accounting or business
7 years of progressive, complex and comprehensive payroll and payroll tax experience with strong Excel skills..
