Job Overview

We are seeking a Digital Art Director who is a skilled digital designer and effective team player/coach. This role requires expertise in creating high-converting content, including graphic design, product photography, videos, web design, and optimizing online shopping experiences. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in designing websites, email, and digital advertising, and will collaborate with the Director of Creative Services to lead our digital design team. Key responsibilities include:

Team management
Conducting design reviews
Designing multi-channel campaigns
Upholding brand stewardship

Key Responsibilities
  • Digital Concept Development: Generate innovative design ideas for campaigns and product launches that reinforce our brand promise and set us apart in a competitive marketplace.
  • Design and optimize high-impact content to support campaigns and business unit sales efforts
  • Brand Stewardship: Partner with our VP of Content and Brand to cultivate and bring our premium brand to life across various channels and deliverables.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of designers, ensuring an accountable, collaborative, and productive working environment.
  • Project Management: Work with project managers and stakeholders to ensure designs, deliverables, and production assets meet our delivery deadlines.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders from product teams, digital marketing, and channel vendors to understand their vision and translate it into visual solutions.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all visual materials from the digital design team are polished, cohesive across platforms, and worthy of our brand.
  • Trend Analysis: Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate them into the creative process where relevant.
  • Presentation: Present creative concepts to stakeholders and leadership, gathering feedback and making necessary adjustments.
  • Team Management: Lead and support the digital designers, perform annual reviews and provide employee training and support as required.
  • Continuous Improvement: Regularly review and refine visual processes with the Creative Services Director to improve how we work together.


Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in design, advertising, or a related field, with a preference for online retail and channel-driven partnerships.
  • 3-5 years of managerial experience within a creative or agency environment.
  • Expert in Digital design and creative production requirements (online and channel partners)
  • An ability to create concepts to articulate, inform, and validate ideas with stakeholders and channel partners (e.g., prototypes, wireframes, sketches, journey maps, personas).
  • Strong understanding of design principles, visual storytelling, and brand identity.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in design software, such as Figma, illustrator, and the Adobe Creative Suite.
  • A degree in graphic design, digital design, fine arts, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered.
  • A strong portfolio that shows innovative and visually compelling creative work.
