Job Description:
The Sr. Specialist, Electrical Engineer will create unique solutions for complex problems in support of our Fuzing and Ordnance Systems (FOS) business. This position will develop fuzing systems for the ignition of ordnance, safety and arming of devices, proximity sensors, as well as telemetry systems. The role is responsible for the design, development, and testing of complex electronic hardware for defense applications. Additionally, this role includes supporting our manufacturing team throughout the lifecycle of each project. Projects will involve diverse technology areas, including analog and digital electronic design, payload, and system integration.

Job Description:
The Sr. Specialist, Electrical Engineer will create unique solutions for complex problems in support of our Fuzing and Ordnance Systems (FOS) business. The role is responsible for the design, development, and testing of complex electronic hardware for defense applications. Additionally, this role includes supporting our manufacturing team throughout the lifecycle of each project. Projects will involve diverse technology areas, including analog and digital electronic design, payload, and system integration.
Essential Functions:
- Develop and test ruggedized electronics for ordnance applications, including analog and digital design, circuit tolerance analyses, requirement development and refinement, and test plans (lead and direct test activities).
- Lead or assist in failure investigations and debugging electronic hardware.
- Generate material for and lead design reviews for all phases of the product development cycle.
- Act as the primary technical interface to internal and external customers.
- Generate Engineering Orders (EOs) and Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs).
- Support manufacturing teams for existing products.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (EE), Computer Engineering (CompE), or a related field, and 6 years of relevant experience; or a Master's Degree in EE with 4 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 10 years of experience is required.
- Minimum of 6 years of development and circuit design experience.
- Experience in failure analysis, including debugging electronic hardware.
- Experience with creating technical documentation such as test plans, test reports, drawings, etc.
- Experience designing products with rigorous environmental testing.
- Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance and be eligible to obtain higher clearances.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience with basic digital building blocks, including logic gates, flip-flops, timers, and filters.
- Experience with power supply, power conditioning design, and power conversion concepts.
- Experience with modeling and simulation.
