GrayWolf Modular develops and delivers modular solutions that significantly enhance predictability and scale for the construction of our clients' key infrastructures and facilities. The group is focused on the data-center and advanced manufacturing space by specializing in E-houses, CDUs, CUBs, White Space, Modular Data Centers, and other modular products for these markets. We offer end-to-end services to develop, design, procure, manufacture, and commission these modular products to meet client requirements.

Position Value Proposition:

The Vice President of Engineering is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing all engineering and technical operations. This individual will drive innovation, manage product development, and lead a multidisciplinary engineering team to ensure the successful execution of design-build projects. The VP of Engineering will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, clients, and stakeholders to align engineering initiatives with business objectives.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the engineering team, including structural, electrical, mechanical, and software engineers, ensuring high performance and innovation.
  • Develop and implement engineering strategies to enhance the company's modular data center offerings.
  • Oversee the full project lifecycle, from concept and design through manufacturing, deployment, and commissioning.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and sustainability best practices.
  • Collaborate with sales, operations, and executive leadership to align engineering goals with business growth.
  • Drive continuous improvement in design efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and product reliability.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with vendors, contractors, and technology partners.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in modular data center design.
  • Mentor and develop engineering talent, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

Required qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) to perform essential functions of this position:

I. Work Experience
  • 15+ years of experience in engineering leadership roles, preferably in modular data centers, mission-critical infrastructure, or related industries.
  • Proven track record in leading design-build projects from conception to execution.
  • Strong knowledge of data center power and cooling systems, prefabrication methodologies, and industry regulations.
  • Experience in managing multidisciplinary engineering teams and external partners.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.

II. Education/Training
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Structural, or related field); Master's degree preferred.

III. Work Environment

Work is generally performed in a climate-controlled office area. Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time throughout an 8-10 hour day.
