Senior Manager, Marketing

Sagent Pharmaceuticals is looking for a Senior Marketing Manager . This role will support the marketing team in managing product launches, development of promotional material, tradeshow management, and label development. Provide day-to-day and ongoing sales support including development of customer communications. Prepare for and participate in all forecasting sessions. Work with internal teams and partners to specify product requirements. This is a hybrid position reporting into our Schaumburg, IL office, requiring 3 days a week in office.

• Meeting financial targets for each quarter and the full fiscal year
• Ensuring launch readiness for all new products and labeling updates
• Driving brand identity and reception in the marketplace
• Sales and customer feedback.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Drive brand and manage tactical deliverables for Sagent Pharmaceuticals.
• Monitor and report on commercial product trends in generic injectable marketplace.
• Direct and manage Senior Marketing Specialist.
• Support launch and commercialization efforts of profitable products in a timely manner and on budget to meet sales objective across businesses.
• Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of customers, competitors and general marketplace dynamics to ensure optimal marketing programs in the generic drug space.
• Drive brand strategy and promotional tactics for launched and launching products for Sagent.
• Provide assistance on strategic and promotional tactics for the Sagent portfolio of launched and launching products.
• Prepare business inputs for the Sagent forecasting sessions and participate in forecasting sessions.
• Manage Sagent product label development for upcoming product launches and support prioritization of labeling activities.
• Support Sagent Sales team related to products and promotion.
• Represent Sagent's requirements on external manufacturer and vendor interactions.
• Perform analytics needed to support marketing's management of the generic business including managing the Sagent product prioritization on an ongoing bases.

Knowledge or Experience:

• Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, leadership and project management skills with the ability to manage and excel with minimal supervision by senior staff
• Effectively prioritize workload and manage time to complete assigned projects within established timelines and goals
• Proficient in the FDA and internal rules/guidelines for Marketing and Advertising Review Process
• Self-directed, task oriented
• Experience working with forecasting and within budget
• Excellent MS Office skills

Minimum Qualifications / Experience:

• 6- 8 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably 2 years in the generic and/or hospital business
• Minimum of 5 years of sales and/or marketing experience
• Experience in a hospital pharmacy or hospital selling is a plus
• Ability to understand market trends, financial data, and customer needs and assess competitive intelligence data
• Experience assessing 505b2 products and developing forecasts a plus
• Clear understanding of pharmaceutical development, manufacturing, marketing and regulatory processes for generic injectable space
• Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment and a flexible team-oriented perspective
• Ability to oversee multiple and competing projects in a fast-paced, changing team environment
• Have a passion for quality and an impeccable detail orientation
• Skills in the areas of pricing, reimbursement, messaging, branding, and creative product/program development
• Solid business acumen and project management

Education / Certifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or higher required. MBA preferred.
