Role Overview

An established organization is seeking an experienced Manager, Infrastructure / Senior System Administrator to oversee the administration and maintenance of IT infrastructure. This role will focus on ensuring system security, stability, and scalability while managing on-premise and cloud-based environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading infrastructure operations, implementing best practices, and ensuring business continuity through secure and efficient IT solutions.

Core Responsibilities

Server & Network Administration

• Oversee the administration and maintenance of domain servers to ensure network security and efficient user authentication.
• Monitor and manage virtualized environments (VMware) for optimal performance and resource utilization.
• Implement and manage Active Directory Group Policies (GPOs) and automation scripts.
• Administer cloud solutions (Azure, Microsoft 365) for scalability and security.
• Maintain enterprise storage solutions (SAN/NAS) for high availability and redundancy.
• Manage backup and disaster recovery (DR) solutions, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.

Security & Compliance

• Implement email security, archiving, and endpoint protection.
• Ensure timely security patching to protect systems from vulnerabilities.
• Manage firewalls, VPNs, and access controls to safeguard sensitive data.
• Ensure compliance with IT policies and regulatory requirements.

Remote Access & End-User Support

• Provide secure and efficient remote access solutions using Citrix Workspaces.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and authentication for various systems.
• Support end-user computing needs by troubleshooting and resolving IT issues.

Strategic IT Management

• Develop, implement, and manage IT infrastructure for scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Establish policies and best practices for system use and IT services.
• Provide tactical direction, set priorities, and manage infrastructure growth.
• Coordinate with other IT teams and business units to ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Required Qualifications

• Associate's degree (or higher) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent technical training.
• Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure management, server administration, and network operations.
• Proficiency in Windows Server environments, VMware, Citrix, and Microsoft 365.
• Strong knowledge of VOIP, Wireless, Databases, Networking, SAN, and Linux.
• Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure (IaaS/PaaS).
• Advanced troubleshooting and automation skills using PowerShell, PHP, C#, or VBScript.

Leadership & Management

• Direct oversight of infrastructure resources and IT personnel.
• Responsible for hiring, training, and managing IT staff.
• Conduct performance evaluations and ensure effective task delegation.
• Lead IT project planning and execution to support business objectives.
