About the job:
Manage all aspects of assigned US Conec product lines, including sales channels, development priorities, pricing strategies, promotional planning, and profitability. Assist sales management personnel as required to meet sales objectives.
What you will do:
Manage P&L for assigned product lines
Serve as primary Subject Matter Expert for all assigned products associated markets/applications
Create and manage pricing strategy for assigned product lines
Represent USC and assigned products publicly through speaking engagements, webinars, articles,
trade show participation
Manage product line expenses within budget
Provide technical leadership and direction to all levels of the organization to meet commercial product
line objectives
Maintain command of all technical, commercial, and financial aspects of assigned product lines to serve
as the central product line point of contact
Develop long term preferred customer and supplier relationships to establish US Conec leadership in
targeted technology/application areas
Support Account Managers to promote ongoing relationships between customers and US Conec at all
levels of the customer's organization
Set a product line strategy to create a preference for US Conec products over competition for targeted
markets, customers, and regions
Set promotional strategy and work with Marcom personnel to implement and maintain the US Conec
website, product line literature, press releases, and articles
Plan product strategy for trade shows and work closely with Marcom personnel to implement
Recommend appropriate inventory levels of manufactured components and parts purchased for resale
to obtain customer satisfaction and meet balance sheet objectives
Develop annual and long-term product business plans in conjunction with overall company strategy and
objectives
Establish development priorities with input from account managers, development manager, and
strategic partners
Establish list and contract price levels for products
Perform market analyses to determine competitive presence and strengths
Coordinate and drive activities with operations team and key suppliers as required to manage costs and
ensure product line success
Requirements
What we'd like you to have:
Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related field required
Experience in Fiber Optics, Cabling, and/or Connectors
Experience with outside plant cabling infrastructure
Experience with carrier access network applications and cabling deployments in harsh environments
Expertise in general business operations
Master of Business Administration is preferred
Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
Excellent interpersonal skills, as well, as verbal, and written communications skills
Strong presentation skills
Ability to travel 25%
