The Orlando Production Operations team is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Manufacturing Support Team Member Sr Staff to join our team.
What You Will Be Doing
As a key member of the Manufacturing Support team, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical expertise, project ownership, and support to the manufacturing operations team to ensure efficient and effective production of high-quality products. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in complex problem solving, manufacturing processes, yield improvement, affordability management, and cross-functional influence & collaboration along with a working knowledge of the skills, metrics and support needed for production management.
Key Responsibilities:
Integrate and collaborate with diverse cross-functional teams to rapidly problem solve and lead sustainable business outcomes, supplementing the core team as a resource for critical outcomes and ownership as required
Lead site-level strategic projects that necessitate collaboration with diverse stakeholders, fostering an environment of transparency, open communication, and collective problem-solving.
Fill emergent or persistent gaps in manufacturing operations as needed, leveraging expertise and knowledge to support critical functions and maintain operational continuity.
Spearhead planning efforts to restore optimal manufacturing performance, while harnessing the collective strengths of the existing team to share the workload and ensure seamless execution in support of cost, schedule, quality and safety commitments. Key aspects include:
o Developing and implementing targeted strategies to rapidly recover from disruptions and restore "green" status
o Collaborating with the manufacturing team to identify and allocate responsibilities, leveraging their expertise and capacity to support recovery efforts
o Providing coaching and guidance to empower team members to take ownership of specific aspects of the recovery plan, ensuring a sustainable and self-sufficient approach
o Develop, prepare and present business case analysis and justifications for funding.
Provide guidance and support to manufacturing operations team members on production processes, equipment, and tooling
Troubleshoot and resolve complex manufacturing issues, including equipment malfunctions and process deviations
Lead continuous product quality and performance improvements through advances in methods and systems.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a manufacturing related technical field
Minimum 15 years of experience in a manufacturing role supporting shop floor execution
Experience with lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and continuous improvement initiatives
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality results
Desired skills
BS/MS in a technical field (i.e. Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Electrical, etc. Engineering)
Experience with SAP & Apriso
Experience with successful return to green planning and execution
Certification in a lean or Six Sigma methodology, such as Black Belt or Green Belt with demonstrated experience in Design of Experiments and Statistical Process Control
Knowledge of quality management systems, such as ISO 9001 or AS9100
Formal Root Cause and Correct Action training and demonstrated experience.
Experience working in a regulated industry, such as aerospace or defense
Willing to work off-shifts as required

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $106,100 - $187,105. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
