The Los Alamos National Laboratory is looking for a Superintendent who is ready to be responsible for overseeing some of the most sophisticated electrical and mechanical facilities and systems in the world. As a Logistics Superintendent, you will be a part of highly creative, diverse, fast-paced, efficient team tasked with tackling the most fascinating and challenging problems in our Laboratory's facilities. Here at LANL we are always on the forefront, with industry leading examples of energy efficient and cost-effective facilities. Our Superintendents are constantly challenged to drive continuous improvement, deliver the highest quality work on schedule and minimizing costs, all while maximizing their mission critical facilities capabilities. This opportunity requires a close working relationship with Facilities Management, Engineering, Planning, Project Management, Material Procurement and Union Craft personnel in the performance of facility preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance and modification work activities. Depending on the assignment, a Superintendent may be responsible for work activities at a Department of Energy Non-Nuclear Facility. Superintendent's will also be responsible for maintaining required safety and security training, assuring safety and security compliance, and making safety and security an integral part of every task; to include taking the necessary steps to stop work if continuing the job is unsafe or compromises security.
Superintendent 1 ($85,900 - $139,900)
Our superintendents are constantly challenged to drive continuous improvement, deliver the highest quality work on schedule and minimizing costs, all while maximizing their mission critical facilities capabilities.
The Maintenance Superintendent will oversee maintenance and repairs of electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), carpentry, painting, and other building systems. You will organize and oversees the schedules and work of maintenance staff.
Superintendent 2 ($94,500 - $154,600)
In addition to what was outlined at the lower level, at this level, an experienced maintenance supervisor must be reliable and have a good eye for detail. They must have technical skills and knowledge of various crafts such as carpentry, plumbing etc. Knowledge of administrative tasks such as scheduling are also essential. You will plan and supervise the maintenance of facility systems, corrective maintenance and minor modifications. You will plan and issue daily work assignments; monitor work in progress and check completed work.

- Moderate level of experience reviewing project plans and coordinating with project team members to develop project cost estimates and execution schedules.
