Health Intelligence Company, LLC dba Blue Health Intelligence seeks a Principal Data Scientist in Chicago, IL.
Duties: Develop advanced analytic models applied to healthcare claims data, and other integrated data sources, which drives analytic innovation and market leadership in healthcare analytics. Lead the development of standard definitions of measures to be used as predictors and targets in predictive model development. Lead large and complex analytical projects from data exploration, model building, performance evaluation and testing. Oversee the tasks and quality of work of other individuals on the project. Lead technical design, and implementation of score models and algorithms. Apply data mining techniques to large claims databases to identify refined approaches to business issues. Explore, examine, and interpret large volumes of data in various forms. Perform analyses of structured and unstructured data to solve moderately complex business problems. Use strong programming skills to explore, examine and interpret large volumes of data in various forms. 100% telecommuting permitted within the U.S.
Requires a Master's degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, or a related field, plus 6 years of experience as a Data Scientist, Business Analyst, or related role. As an alternative, employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, or a related field, plus 8 years of experience as a Data Scientist, Business Analyst, or related role.
Must have 3 years of experience in each of the following:
Data Analysis experience using Python or R;
Database querying experience using SQL, Big Query or AWS redshift; and
Working with Medical Claims data or Pharmacy Claims data.
Must have 2 years of experience in each of the following: Building observational or experimental causal inference studies;
Machine learning algorithms and model design; and Building neural networks with Pytorch or Keras.
The actual salary an employee can expect to receive, plus bonus pursuant to the terms of any bonus plan if applicable, will depend on experience, seniority, and other factors permitted by law.
