This role is not a conventional revenue management role and is designed to drive all revenue generating opportunities within a complex and independent luxury lifestyle hotel.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This role is not a conventional revenue management role and is designed to drive all revenue generating opportunities within a complex and independent luxury lifestyle hotel.
- Achieve OCC, ADR, RevPAR, STR Share, and Profitability goals by collaborating across all respective departments and with key stakeholders.
- Have complete knowledge of hotel rooms, function space, restaurant, and all services available to guests.
- Participate in monthly digital marketing meetings, ensuring offers and spending align with hotel's needs. A solid understanding of full-service digital agencies and digital marketing strongly preferred.
- Have a full understanding of the group and transient sales process.
- Lead the weekly commercial strategy meeting; ensuring a holistic review of key areas within the division; following up on assigned tasks of others; critiquing STR and D360 trends; proactively planning ahead; etc.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers, written and verbal, to influence decision-making; exercising patience, tact and diplomacy. Additionally, deliver clear and effective presentations to senior leaders and ownership on a regular basis.
- Ensure premium room and suite conversion meets goals established. Including, working with Front Office leadership on an optimal upsell program, managing third party upsell systems, merchandising, etc.
- Monitor hotel and competitor rates, availability, strategies, and seasonality and adjust accordingly based on hotel's needs. Additionally, review unconstrained demand and ensure an optimal mix of business.
- Ability to use/manipulate the CRS, PMS, RMS, and other respective systems for tracking, forecasting, and executing optimal selling strategies. Duetto, HMS, Synxis, Demand 360, Agency360, Sales Force, Lighthouse, etc.
- Regularly review production of negotiated accounts and groups with hotel's sales leader, and strategize by segment where needed.
- Proactively analyze local events and project their impact.
- Prepare weekly and monthly forecasts.
- Lead Daily Business Reviews with the sales team to maximize revenue opportunities. Including, the execution of detailed profitability displacement analysis when needed.
- Monitor online reviews and collaborate with respective counterparts on how to capitalize on opportunities.
- Lead the preparation of the annual rooms revenue budget and business plans.
- Ensure distribution channels have accurate content and pricing merchandising.
- Develop relationships with the Online Travel Agencies (OTA) or Third Party Intermediaries (TPI), and Wholesale to maximize opportunities through these channels.
- Co-lead internet marketing campaigns, GDS advertising, etc.
- Assist in developing the hotel managers so that they become proficient with revenue strategy.
- Perform various other duties as assigned to meet business objectives
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience with independent luxury lifestyle hotels highly desired.
- Hotel Management, Business and/or related degree preferred
- Minimum of 3-4 years of experience as a Director of Revenue Strategy
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Experience with Duetto, SynXis, Delphi, and Infor HMS preferred
- Exceptional service and customer relations skills with ability to foster effective relationships with staff, management and clientele.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate ideas and concepts.
- Highly proficient in computers including, but not limited to Internet, Microsoft Office programs and hotel sales related programs.
- Strong facilitation and presentation skills.
