Job Description
Performs medically prescribed echo cardiogram procedures including transthorasic, trans esophageal, and stress. These procedures are performed throughout the patient population; inpatient and outpatient, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric. Participates in a team oriented, patient focused delivery of care model and assists in other areas of the Noninvasive Cardiology Laboratory.
Education And Credentials
AAS - Associate of Applied Science or AA in Echocardiography or Cardiovascular Technology required. Basic Life Support (BLS) within 6 months required. One of the following upon hire required; Reg Diag Card Sonograph (RDCS), Reg Cardiac Sonographer (RCS), Can Reg Card Sonograph (CRCS), or Reg Congen Card Sonogr (RCCS). BGMC only only for injections - one of the following required; NYS Cert For IV Contrast Admin, Am Reg Of Rad Tech (ARRT R), or NYS Cert EMT Critical Care.
Experience
1 year of experience in a Hospital based environment preferred.
