SUMMARY

Hedden & Gunn Plastic Surgery is seeking an experienced Practice Director to oversee operations at our large, dynamic

plastic surgery practice. This high-impact role involves ensuring patient satisfaction, fostering a positive work environment,

driving practice growth, and maintaining quality care standards across surgical, medical, and spa services. The ideal team

member will understand the unique nature of a consumer-driven business model, distinct from insurance-based surgery,

with a focus on personalized care, patient experience, and operational efficiency.
  • High Patient Satisfaction Scores: The Practice Director will ensure a seamless patient experience by maintaining
  • exceptional service standards, addressing patient needs, and implementing processes that support our
  • commitment to quality care.
  • Employee Engagement and Retention: As a leader, the Practice Director will foster a collaborative and positive
  • work environment, promoting team engagement, supporting staff development, and ensuring operational
  • excellence.
  • Quality Outcomes and Patient Safety: This role will oversee compliance with all regulatory standards, champion
  • patient safety initiatives, and ensure that care delivery aligns with best practices.
  • Operational Efficiency and Effectiveness: The Practice Director will be tasked with streamlining workflows,
  • optimizing resources, and driving results in a high-volume setting, ensuring the practice operates efficiently while
  • meeting its financial and patient care goals.
  • Experience in cosmetics, plastic surgery, or dermatology is a plus, but not required. If you're a leader with extensive
  • experience managing large healthcare practices and are ready to take on a results-driven, impactful role, we want to hear

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned)
  • Practice Management: Oversee daily operations including the front desk, billing and insurance, medical spa,
  • non-surgical providers, and general practice oversight. Develop and implement workflows to enhance efficiency
  • and service delivery.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage diverse teams while fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous
  • improvement, and professional development to drive employee engagement. Patient Experience: Ensure high levels of patient satisfaction through effective communication and service
  • excellence.
  • Financial Management: Manage practice finances, including budgeting, patient payments, billing, and insurance
  • processes.
  • Strategic Initiatives and Innovation: Drive strategic initiatives that promote practice growth, enhance quality
  • outcomes, and integrate innovative approaches to patient care
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations, HIPAA compliance, and best practices for
  • patient safety.
  • Collaboration: Partner with the Chief Medical Officer and work effectively with physicians to implement programs
  • across the practice.


QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven leadership experience managing large, multi-specialty healthcare practices.
  • BA or higher is required; a degree in health administration is preferred.
  • Financial acumen with demonstrated expertise in managing budgets, analyzing financial metrics, and developing
  • actionable strategies.
  • Experience working in surgical environments, such as operating rooms (ORs) or ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs), is
  • essential, with previous experience in plastic surgery, aesthetics, dermatology, or a related field strongly preferred


SKILLS/ABILITIES
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration across teams
  • Strong business acumen with a proven ability to analyze metrics and develop actionable strategies
  • Action-oriented with a strategic mindset
  • Demonstrated ability to lead with empathy, navigate challenges, and drive team engagement in a fast-paced
  • environment
  • Proficient in medical office software and electronic health records (EHR)


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This role requires frequent standing, walking, and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds. The work environment includes

exposure to moderate noise levels, infectious diseases, and occasional interaction with hazardous materials. Adherence

to safety protocols is required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, employees may be exposed to risk of infectious diseases when interacting with

patients and/or family members. The employee may be occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving

mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration. The noise level in the work

environment is usually moderate.
