This position is expected to start May 2025 and continue through the entire Summer term (i.e. through August/September 2025) or into Fall 2025 if available. We ask for a minimum of 12 weeks, full-time and on-site, for most internships.
International Students: If your work authorization is through CPT, please consult your school on your ability to work 40 hours per week before applying. You must be able to work 40 hours per week on-site. Many students will be limited to part-time during the academic year.

Responsibilities
The Americas Energy Sales Team focuses on the development and sales of Tesla Energy products (primarily battery energy storage BESS) for front-of-the-meter for utility, independent power producers and developer customers as well as behind-the-meter commercial and industrial customers. Projects range from renewable microgrids to large scale storage deployments for capacity or grid services. The team is growing rapidly in both size and impact as grid scale storage deployments accelerate.
With guidance from sector leaders, the intern will be responsible for:
  • Supporting sales workflow processes in partnership with support organizations to improve internal data tracking, reporting and analytics
  • Supporting the sales cycle, including deal origination, project development management and deal closing process
  • Assisting in quote generation and supplying customers with high quality and accurate project proposals, often in response to highly complex and formal utility RFPs
  • Researching and reporting on diverse topics such as new markets, microgrid project opportunities, utility/state/federal policy updates, and unique storage projects


Requirements
  • Currently pursuing a MBA, MS, or strong bachelor's degree in economics/engineering
  • Strong analytical / quantitative skills regarding complex price models, storage/renewable project economics
  • Ability to clearly communicate concepts and support hypothesis with data
  • Ability to work across multiple teams to gain input and consensus
  • 6-month availability
  • Deep passion for accelerating the world's transition to sustainable energy

      $32.00 - $58.00 + benefits

      Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
