Purpose:
The Vice President of Sales is responsible for leading and executing the sales strategy to drive revenue growth, market expansion, and customer engagement within the Refrigerated Foods (salads, dips and prepared foods) industry. This role requires a strategic leader with a deep understanding of sales, key account management, and category growth to all channels (retail, food service, club and wholesale) strategies. The VP of Sales will develop and lead a high-performing sales team while fostering strong relationships with retail, wholesale, and distribution partners

Essential functions and responsibilities
- Strategic Sales Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with the company's growth objectives and market trends
- Revenue Growth: Drive top-line revenue and profitability through effective sales planning, execution, and performance tracking
- Key Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with major retailers, wholesalers, distributors, and e-commerce partners to maximize product placement and sales.
- Market Expansion: Identify and develop new market opportunities, ensuring the company's products are positioned for success in all relevant channels.
- Sales Team Leadership: Recruit, train, mentor, and manage a high-performing sales team, ensuring they meet and exceed revenue goals.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Marketing, Product Development, Finance, Quality Assurance and Operations to align sales efforts with brand strategies and production capabilities.
- Forecasting & Analytics: Utilize data-driven insights to track sales performance, forecast demand, and refine sales strategies.
- Retail Execution: Oversee trade marketing strategies, promotions, and merchandising efforts to drive sell through and brand visibility.
- Competitive Analysis: Monitor market trends and competitor activities to stay ahead of industry developments and adjust sales tactics accordingly.
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of sales leadership experience in the Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) industry, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth.
- Experience in Refrigerated Foods preferred.
- Strong experience in key account management, category management, and trade marketing.
- Established relationships with major retailers, distributors, and e-commerce platforms.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in sales forecasting, budgeting, and performance tracking.
- Proven ability to develop and lead high-performing sales teams.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
