Job Title: Registered Nurse - Cardiovascular Suite Interventional Radiology (CVIR)
Job Specialty: RN CVIR
Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day Shift - Options available: 5x8 or 4x10 (07AM - 03PM)
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Experience: Current experience in moderate sedation, catheterization, hemodynamic monitoring, and interventional radiology required
License: Registered Nurse License
Certifications: BLS and ACLS Certification required
Must-Have: Ability to administer moderate sedation
Job Description:
- Responsible for the quality of nursing care provided to patients.
- Assess, plan, implement, direct, supervise, and evaluate direct and indirect nursing care.
- Administer moderate sedation and complete admission assessments.
- Recover patients and assist physicians with cardiac and radiology procedures requiring moderate/procedural sedation.
- Circulate or scrub in the procedure room.
- Provide nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic cardiac catheterization, implanted Pacemaker/ICD, interventional radiology procedures, and assorted diagnostic cardiac procedures.
- Deliver patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Direct and coordinate all nursing care based on established clinical nursing practice standards.
- Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and desired patient outcomes.
- Accept pre-operative/post-operative RNs for this role (internal nurses to work during procedures).
