We are seeking an experienced HIL Engineer to join our team in Mossville, IL. The selected candidate will be responsible for Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing on highly complex L6 machines, ensuring comprehensive validation of machine-level systems. This role requires a deep understanding of system-level testing, automation scripting, and complex system integration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute HIL test plans for validating entire machine systems.
- Implement and optimize test automation scripts to enhance validation processes.
- Utilize dSPACE HIL platforms for system-level testing.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze test results and troubleshoot issues.
- Validate not just individual features but the entire machine system to ensure robustness.
- Document test cases, results, and provide detailed reports on performance.
Required Qualifications:
- BSEE (Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering) or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3+ years of industry experience in HIL testing.
- Hands-on experience with dSPACE HIL systems.
- Proficiency in writing test automation scripts (Python, MATLAB, or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of complex system integration and validation.
- Ability to analyze and debug system-level failures effectively.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Caterpillar machines or similar heavy machinery.
- Familiarity with embedded control systems and model-based development.
- Knowledge of CAN communication protocols and diagnostic tools.
