System Director of Finance - Controller

Deaconess Health System is seeking a highly skilled and experienced System Controller to oversee and manage the Accounting, Payroll, Accounts Payable, and Tax functions. This role is crucial in ensuring the financial integrity and operational efficiency of our centralized functions across twelve hospitals, four medical groups, and multiple joint ventures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Management: Oversee the accounting operations, including the preparation of financial statements, budgeting, and financial reporting.
• Payroll Management: Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees across the health system.
• Accounts Payable: Manage the accounts payable function, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices and compliance with company policies.
• Tax Compliance: Oversee tax planning and compliance, including the preparation and filing of tax returns.
• Internal Controls: Develop and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard the organization's assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
• Hybrid Team Management: Effectively manage and collaborate with a hybrid team of local and off-shore staff, ensuring seamless communication and integration of processes.
• Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement financial strategies that support the organization's goals and objectives.
• Facility Integration: Oversee the integration of newly acquired facilities into the health system's financial structure, ensuring alignment with organizational policies and procedures.
