We are seeking a proactive and dedicated Service Manager to oversee a team of Service Technicians, manage client relations, and drive new business opportunities. The ideal candidate will excel in team leadership and customer service, with a strong background in DC electrical systems and a commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and motivate a team of Service Technicians. Manage hiring, performance reviews, and career development.
  • Client Relations: Maintain and enhance existing client relationships while cultivating new business opportunities. Professionally represent APS to all customers.
  • Administrative Management: Responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating various projects, implementing processes from concept through completion for multiple teams.
  • Project Controls: Develop, manage, and forecast financial budgets for projects while maintaining accountability for deliverables against established business goals/objectives.
  • Quality & Compliance: Work closely with Engineering, Quality, Training, and Safety departments to ensure adherence to APS standards and policies.
  • Operational Efficiency: Oversee the Service Department's operations, including equipment/minor material orders, tools, and equipment required for each project
  • Safety & Training: Organize safety training and tech meetings and ensure compliance with safety procedures and equipment maintenance.

Travel Requirements:
This position involves frequent travel, including driving, flying, and overnight stays, primarily during the week.

Job Requirements

Details:

Minimum Skill Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of telecommunications DC power experience
  • Strong understanding of UPS systems and battery replacements
  • Preventative maintenance report creation
  • 130V switch gear control backup systems experience is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office along with project management database-type applications
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under required deadlines
  • Previous experience with supervision of projects and project management
  • Possesses strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with electrical field concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Knowledge of Electrical Codes, Life Safety Codes, and industry standards.
  • Strong organizational, mathematical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.

Physical Requirements:
  • Strength to lift to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 150 lbs with assistance.
  • Ability to work in various physical positions and use tools and equipment effectively.

Rate of Pay: $83,200.00-$104,000.00
