Location: Plainsboro, NJ
Salary: $130k - $185k + Bonus
Boutique CPA firm is seeking a Tax Manager to help lead their team!
RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee and manage tax planning, preparation, and compliance for individuals, businesses, and other entities.
Review and file federal, state, and local tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with current tax laws and regulations.
Provide tax advisory services, identifying opportunities for tax savings and risk mitigation.
Manage client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor for tax-related matters.
Supervise and mentor junior accountants and tax preparers, providing guidance and training as needed.
Stay up to date with changing tax regulations and ensure the firm's practices remain compliant.
Assist in the preparation of financial statements, audits, and other accounting functions as required.
Work closely with firm leadership to develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and client satisfaction.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA license required.
Minimum of 5 years of tax accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
Proficiency in tax software (UltraTax)
Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws, regulations, and compliance.
Tax controversy experience required.
