Director of Maternity Care Center: Labor and Delivery, Mother/Baby, and NICU
POSITION SUMMARY:
Directs, plans, leads, manages and evaluates the clinical care and operational aspects of the Labor and Delivery, Mother and Baby, and the Neonatal Intensive Care Units. Prepares request for the fiscal year's budget and is accountable for achieving the department's budgetary goals.
Interacts closely with other facility staff and department heads to ensure safe, quality patient care is provided in accordance with corporate, facility, and unit standards. Participates on committees and task forces as assigned. Formulates reviews and assists in the revision of policies and procedures. Problem solves problems for the maternal child department.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
- BSN degree preferred.
- Five or more years of clinical experience, including assistant nurse manager or charge nurse experience.
- Current State of Florida Nursing license.
- BLS and NRP certified.
- Certification in respective area.
- Effective oral and written communication skills in the English language.
- Visual and hearing senses must be adequate to assess/detect changes in human physiological condition.
- Assist with varied operative procedures, and surgeon's verbal directives.
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast paced and stressful environment.
