Position Summary:
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a strategic advisor and consultant to leadership, providing guidance on employee relations, compliance, HR policy, team member engagement, and workforce management. This role will support directors, managers, and supervisors by offering leadership coaching and guidance on best HR practices. The HRBP will ensure that HR initiatives align with the organization's mission, values, and operational objectives while maintaining compliance with employment laws and regulations. Additionally, this position will serve as a support resource to team members within a specified client group, ensuring their HR-related needs are met effectively.

Additionally, this position will serve as a support resource to team members within a specified client group, ensuring their HR-related needs are met effectively.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Act as an advisor to directors, managers, and supervisors by providing guidance on employee relations matters, performance management, and workplace conflict resolution.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including but not limited to FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and EEO regulations.
- Serve as a key resource for handling Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) hearings, including preparation and representation on behalf of the organization.
- Develop and implement HR policies, ensuring they are communicated effectively and consistently applied across the organization.
- Lead investigations related to team member concerns, policy violations, and workplace disputes, providing recommendations for resolution.
- Partner with leadership to enhance team member engagement, fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Support performance management initiatives, including coaching leaders on best practices for goal setting, feedback, and team member development.
- Assist in the execution of organizational change initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions and alignment with HR best practices.
- Collaborate with HR colleagues to drive initiatives that support talent acquisition, retention, and workforce planning strategies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR documentation, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with recordkeeping requirements.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field with at least 3 years of generalist, HR Business Partner or skilled HR related experience.
- In lieu of a bachelor's degree, an associate degree with 5 years of HR related experience will be accepted.
Experience & Skills:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a generalist or HR-related role, with a strong foundation in employee relations, compliance, and HR policy implementation.
- Experience coaching and advising leadership at various levels within an organization.
- Strong working knowledge of employment laws and regulatory requirements.
- Experience handling unemployment claims and representation at TWC hearings.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Great to have:
- PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent HR certification.
- Experience in a healthcare or nonprofit environment.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- This position operates in a professional office setting with occasional travel to different work locations as needed.
- Requires sitting, standing, and occasional lifting of materials up to 15 pounds.
