We are looking for a dynamic Robotic Application Engineer to spearhead the development, implementation, and growth of ARC and Laser Applications. In this exciting role, you will collaborate with a talented team of engineers to support sales and champion industry-leading solutions.
Primary responsibilities will include:
- Developing processes for arc welding and laser applications to enhance and support new customer sales and applications.
- Offer technical and product support.
- Provide engineering support for system operations.
- Collaborate with internal sales teams, distributors and customers to conduct process studies and create mockups.
- Conduct testing for new hardware and software products.
- Create strategic plans and assist in system builds for tradeshows targeting a specific market segment.
- Develop functional specifications for new value-added products that exceed competitor product specifications and offerings.
- Assist in the product development process to ensure products align with functional specifications for the market.
- Create sales materials such as product release bulletins, data sheets, press releases, videos, and presentations to effectively launch new products and define their competitive advantages.
- Develop products and market analysis to help FANUC Robotics gain a competitive advantage.
- Collaborates with the sales force and systems group to ensure the customer is provided with the appropriate automation solutions.
- Organize, schedule, and prepare presentations and demonstrations for customers, with support from engineering.
- Travel to customer sites, trade shows, and other events within and outside the assigned reporting location, including some overnight stays as required (approximately 25%).
The ideal candidate will have the following experience and education:
- High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in robotic automation, with a specialization in ARC or Laser applications.
- Experience in designing and building systems
- Experience in the fabrication industry
- Experience with welding processes
- Experience with 3D modeling software
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Must be able to drive throughout the organization's service area as needed for business purposes.
- Ability to effectively communicate, resolve problems, and maintain positive relationships with both internal and external customers.
- Ability to thrive both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent relevant experience in welding processes and welding design, preferred
- Experience in designing/building/operating automated welding systems.
- Experience in fabrication industry.
- Experienced with GMA, FCA, GTA Welding processes.
- Experience with 3D modeling software CAD/SOLIDWORKS.
