ASSISTANT DIRECTOR - HEALTH SERVICES Position Profile: Highline Public Schools is seeking an Assistant Director of Health Services to join our Central Office Leadership Team beginning this July! The Assistant Director of Health Services works under the direction of the Director of Health Services in support of the department's commitment to student health and safety across Highline Public Schools. As the Assistant Director of Health Services, this position is designed to support the management and implementation of the comprehensive district-wide School Health Services Program.

The ideal candidate has school nursing experience and is comfortable working in a community based setting providing healthcare services. In addition, they have knowledge of state and federal public health policies and laws and a strong understanding of the rules and regulations governing 504 plans and related school nursing responsibilities. Additionally, they have experience in providing orientation and ongoing professional learning and training of nurses and non medical staff. The successful candidate has strong critical problem solving and communication skills and demonstrates ability to build successful working relationships with staff, parents, and students, supporting a linguistically and ethnically diverse community. They directly supervise and evaluate staff and are committed to building a strong workplace culture of belonging as they lead alongside the Director in support of recruitment and retention of a diverse workforce in alignment with the beliefs and policies of the district.

Please note the following timeline:
This position will close at 11:30pm PST on March 19th. HR minimum qualification screening and district phone screenings will take place on a rolling basis through March 24th, followed by site-based screening beginning March 25th. Interviews will be conducted in-person and are tentatively scheduled for the week of March 31st.
