Job Title: Physical Therapist
Job Specialty: Rehabilitation
Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Days, 8 AM - 4:30 PM with some flexibility; primarily Monday to Friday, minimal weekend/holiday rotation
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Orthopedic, Sports Medicine, Manual, and Geriatric Rehab
License: Minnesota Physical Therapy License
Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association)
Must-Have: Ability and willingness to work both outpatient and some inpatient rehabilitation
Job Description:
- Conduct physical therapy evaluations and treatments for outpatient, inpatient, and home care settings.
- Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants.
- Utilize equipment such as Ultrasound, Electrical Stimulation, and Ionotophoresis Traction in treatment procedures.
- Employ EPIC Computer Charting for documentation.
- Provide rehabilitation services focused on orthopedic and rehab skills.
- Collaborate with a team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in unit/department-specific training and orientation programs.
- Maintain flexibility to occasionally float to other therapy locations, if necessary.
- Adhere to dress code of casual dress or scrubs.
- Work primarily in a dynamic outpatient department with a wellness center within a 15-bed hospital setting.
- Engage in continuous learning and development opportunities provided by management.
This opportunity is ideal for local candidates and involves occasional weekend and holiday rotations with the staff.
