Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN)

License: Current license to practice registered nursing in the State of Ohio
Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within the first six months for new hires in specified units
- National Institutes of Health (NIH) Certification
Must-Have:
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing or a school accepted for candidacy status from an accrediting body
- Two years of related RN experience
- Ability to handle full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients
- Capability to work under stressful conditions and irregular hours
- Exposure to clinical environment conditions
Job Description:
- Assess, develop, implement, and evaluate patient care using evidence and nursing theory.
- Communicate clearly with patients, families, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team to achieve healthcare goals.
- Provide constructive feedback and participate in peer review processes.
- Teach patients and families at their level of understanding and document their responses.
- Provide and document procedures, medications, treatments, and intravenous therapy.
- Interpret clinical data and patient responses, and collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members.
- Provide prompt and accurate shift/handoff reports and share relevant patient care information throughout the shift.
- Offer staff orientations, training, instructions, guidance, leadership, and supervision as necessary.
- Ensure patient safety and adhere to safety protocols, alerting appropriate staff of safety issues.
