Position Description
Directs, plans, coordinates and supervises the operation and activities of a specialized unit or small department; develops and implements policies and procedures, administers the budget, organizes tasks and sets priorities. Serves as liaison with university personnel and community at large. Works under general supervision with broad latitude for initiative and independent judgment.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related area required plus five years progressively responsible management experience. Additional education may substitute for experience on a year for year basis.
Jeanne Clery Act

Major/Essential Functions
- Troubleshoot, and test Banner Enterprise Systems
- Train office staff on Budget Office processing and reporting
- Assist in preparation of the Annual Operating Budget
- Periodic Budget/ Position Control Analysis
- Process Budget transactions
- Assist in LAR Development
- Prepare special requests as requested
- Budget Office support
- Prepare require reports
- Communicate problems and solutions to supervisor
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a Business related field with at least 12 hours of Accounting. Responsible work experience in an institution of higher education may substitute for a degree
- 7 years of experience in governmental or financial management work with experience in institutions of higher education is highly desirable
- Experience working with Budget, Human Resources and/or financial data and systems in a professional setting
- Prior experience working in creation and maintenance of budgets
- A current knowledge of Banner, Cognos, and other TTUS systems
