eBay is looking for an experienced Senior Consumer Insights Manager to join our growing Global Consumer Insights team. In this critical role, you will champion the voice of eBay sellers and lead global seller research, delivering insights that shape key business strategies, and ensuring seller-centricity is at the heart of decision-making.

This role reports to the Head of Regulatory and Seller Insights and is accountable for driving seller experience improvements for both new and existing sellers across eBay's global marketplace. As the leader of Seller Insights, you will uncover actionable insights and drive business impact, ensuring eBay continuously enhances its seller ecosystem.

What you will accomplish:

Consumer Insights Strategy & Execution
  • Translate business questions into research strategies, designing primary and secondary research (qualitative & quantitative) to uncover seller needs.
  • Partner with internal and external researchers and lead cross-functional, global research projects to influence seller loyalty, retention, and engagement.
  • Synthesize primary research, behavioral data, and analytics to create an integrated view of sellers, advising seller segmentation, product development, and go-to-market strategies.

Storytelling & Communication
  • Synthesize and distill insights into compelling, executive-level narratives, and present research findings with confidence, clarity, and impact.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to champion seller needs, ensuring a deep organizational understanding of seller behavior and preferences

Executive Partnership & Business Impact
  • Establish a regular cadence of executive insights discussions, including Voice of the Seller sessions and cross-functional forums.
  • Build trusted relationships with senior leaders in Product, Marketing, Operations, and Strategy, to understand their challenges and priorities, define research roadmap, and drive actions through insight delivery.
  • Drive thought leadership in seller experience and influence global decision-making by ensuring insights are culturally and regionally relevant while maintaining global consistency.


Qualifications & Experience
  • 8-10+ years proven experience consumer insights, or analytics
  • Bachelor's degree in Market Research, Business, Statistics, Economics, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Deep knowledge of designing, planning and conducting qualitative and quantitative research, globally beyond the US.
  • Strong strategic and analytical mentality, able to find opportunities and influence business priorities.
  • Experience in B2B research, online retail, or marketplace ecosystems is highly desirable.
  • Proven success in navigating matrixed organizations, building strong cross-functional relationships.
  • Excellent communication and executive storytelling skills-able to influence at all levels.
