Job Description
As Manager, Quality Improvement you will help champion organizational change, operational efficiencies and process improvements. Working under the direction of the Arizona Market Senior Director of Value-Based Care, you will assist in implementing quality programs and driving best practice quality initiatives across the market. With years of experience in primary care practice and a detailed understanding of end-to-end operational processes, you will consistently seek out opportunities for organizational and process improvement, creating detailed problem statements and proposing robust, scalable solutions. You will focus on optimizing workflow as you translate data into actionable solutions and create compelling, persuasive business narratives with empowering insights.

Job Description
As Manager, Quality Improvement you will help champion organizational change, operational efficiencies and process improvements. With years of experience in primary care practice and a detailed understanding of end-to-end operational processes, you will consistently seek out opportunities for organizational and process improvement, creating detailed problem statements and proposing robust, scalable solutions. You will focus on optimizing workflow as you translate data into actionable solutions and create compelling, persuasive business narratives with empowering insights.
How you can make a difference
- Assist in the growth and ongoing success of adherence and quality initiatives, scalable on both state and national levels
- Provide guidance and direction to the market's quality plan, identifying ongoing opportunities for process improvements and changing operational priorities
- Lead the design, implementation and implement efficiencies within medication adherence workflows and optimize management workflows
- Optimize workflows and practice performance with keen focus on results
- Collect, analyze, and interpret clinical and operational data to track the effectiveness of QI initiatives
- Monitor and report on key quality indicators such as HEDIS metrics, patient experience, and care coordination metrics.
- Lead and facilitate quality improvement meetings, ensuring active participation from relevant stakeholders
- Partner with clinical teams to provide training and education on QI processes, standards of care, and any relevant requirements
- Identify and executing opportunities working collaboratively with clinic staff to standardize best practices, reduce variability in care delivery, and enhance overall clinic performance
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration within the market
Skills for success
- Ability to distill and translate complex, technical information into business narratives to effect change among stakeholders and team members
- Demonstrated proficiency in process improvement
- Experience in performing under pressure with a sense of urgency, attention to detail, and a commitment to follow-through
- Personal drive toward hands-on problem-solving and practical, executable solutions
- Self-confidence, tempered with humility, to develop scalable quality solutions and
- Solutions-oriented and able to navigate within ambiguity comfortably
- Detailed understanding of end-to-end operational flows for large provider group practices
- Ability to work effectively as part of team and to inspire trust for collaborative working relationships
Experience to drive change
- Bachelor's degree required
- 7+ years of experience supporting quality operations within primary care practice
- Clinical qualification is ideal, but not required for the right candidate
- Background in Six Sigma preferred
- Documented results of workflow optimization
- Practiced in developing detailed business problem statements in primary care environment
- Work experience in organizations with an entrepreneurial culture
- Ability to work from Phoenix, AZ office preferred
