We are currently seeking a Senior Engineer, reporting directly to the hiring manager to join our Process Engineering Team based in Houston, TX.

Senior Process Engineer
Analyzes project specifications, tender and proposals requirements.
Contributes to the development of design parameters and methodologies.
Prepares technically correct, safe, environmentally friendly, cost & time effective discipline engineering analysis and solutions within his/her own specialization field, for approval.
Provides support to all project activities, within his/her own specialization field, from engineering to start-up, as required, and interfaces with other process engineering disciplines and design teams.
Reports own activities within studies, projects and/or operations management.
Assists in development of a process knowledge databases for studies, projects and/or operations (capturing and reporting events & experiences within studies, projects & operations and writing of technical notes).
May participate in pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up.

Level of experience:
Is specialist in own discipline and able to act as resource for less experienced colleagues.
Between 4 and 7 years of experience within process design
Works independently with minimal guidance.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering
  • At least 4 years of experience in process design including process simulation (ProII, proprietary modelling software)
  • Project management skills
  • Good knowledge of process design methods and tools for use with general process equipment and particulate fluidized bed systems.
  • Extensive familiarity with T.EN Stone & Webster FCC Technology FCC/DCC units a requirement
  • Familiarity with CFD modelling and analysis (especially CPFD)
  • Knowledge of revamping FCC Reactor systems (cyclones, feed injectors, riser termination devices etc.
  • Fluency in professional English
