The primary purpose of this position is to develop and implement tactical and strategic initiatives in Logistics for North America. This position is responsible for ensuring operational excellence and cost efficiency through performance management.

-Building vendor relationships; including VELUX product handling education
-Establish service level agreements
-Focus on Sustainability, Quality, Performance and Cost
-Collaboration and relationship building among VELUX Distribution Center

Standard Work Schedule: This is a hybrid position based out of our Greenwood, SC office.
Starting Monthly Salary: $7,522 - $9,403. Compensation is based on the skills and experience of the candidate.

The primary purpose of this position is to develop and implement tactical and strategic initiatives in Logistics for North America. This position is responsible for ensuring operational excellence and cost efficiency through performance management.
Primary Functions:
- Actively engaged in identifying, developing, and implementing tactical & strategical initiatives and strategies in Logistics & Market context.
- Ensure efficiencies and productivity within the regional distribution setup applying an end-to-end value chain understanding, at the lowest overall cost.
- Facilitate initiatives, within the North America market, in areas of but not limited to lean, strategy deployment/development, business processes, performance management and ways of working.
- Responsible for enabling the stakeholder requirements on logistics services, in terms of service levels, operational costs with the most optimal condition, performance, and continuous improvement of setup within transportation, including:
-Building vendor relationships; including VELUX product handling education
-Establish service level agreements
-Focus on Sustainability, Quality, Performance and Cost
-Collaboration and relationship building among VELUX Distribution Center
managers
- Carry out regular benchmarking and tendering of services in regards to freight partners in order to ensure competitive pricing.
- Simplify and improve processes utilizing Lean tools and Lean mindset.
- Promote business development across all assigned areas.
- Identify future logistic needs, transforming these into value adding solutions.
- Accountable for the logistics budgets and costs for LTL transportation, Truckload, and Small Parcel
Standard Work Schedule: This is a hybrid position based out of our Greenwood, SC office.
Starting Monthly Salary: $7,522 - $9,403. Compensation is based on the skills and experience of the candidate.
Qualifications:
- An associate degree is required. A bachelor's degree is desired.
- Candidates need to have at least five years' experience in the logistics and transportation sector.
- Demonstrate effective customer service skills for both internal and external customers.
- Competence with MS Office software is required. Advanced skills in Excel and power BI are critical.
- Must possess effective communication skills, both oral and written.
- Must possess advanced organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Must demonstrate advanced analytical skills in combination with business insights and understanding.
- Applied experience in Lean principles and utilization of Lean tools.
- Must present a positive and professional appearance.
- Must possess an overall good work record and desire to work in a team environment.
- Compliance with all rules of conduct, safety regulations, and policies provided in employee handbooks, on company bulletin boards/announcements, terms/conditions of employment or other means of communication is a requirement of the job.
