Le Gestionnaire Technologies purations de l'air et lectrolyse fournira une expertise technique et un support aux oprations d'aluminerie. Dans le cadre du Centre d'Excellence Manufacturire Aluminerie, vous ferez partie d'une quipe qui rassemble nos experts techniques pour collaborer avec les oprations l'chelle globale.
Relevant de la Directrice, Excellence Manufacturire Aluminerie, vous serez charg de :
- Supporter les processus et oprations de contrle environnemental (purateurs d'air/ captation des fluors) pour les sites d'aluminerie ainsi que pour les contrles des fumes des fours cuires).
- Promouvoir les meilleures pratiques en contrle environnemental, en particulier la gestion des missions de fluor (purateurs/captation et salles de cuves) et les missions des fours cuire.
- Participer des projets visant rduire les missions totales de fluorure et/ou les particules en suspension des vents des salles de cuves et des systmes de contrle des fumes (captation/purateur).
- Soutenir le dveloppement d'indicateurs avancs pour assurer le fonctionnement efficace et efficient des systmes de contrle, permettant de se conformer aux exigences rglementaires applicables
- Participer des discussions avec le groupe de gestion des actifs et de la fiabilit afin de prioriser la maintenance et les rparations des quipements de contrle de la pollutions (purateurs) afin de maintenir les missions les normes environnementales
- Communiquer et obtenir le soutien de la direction de chaque usine et de la direction du Centre d'Excellence Manufacturire Aluminerie.
- Fournir une formation sur les systmes de filtration et de contrle des missions
- Documenter les conclusions et les recommandations issues des visites d'usine et des projets.
- Collaborer avec les experts internes sur les mthode d'chantillonnage ainsi que le contrles environnementaux et ingnierie.
- Voyager entre 20 et 40% du temps l'chelle mondiale vers les sites
Ce que vous apportez au poste
- Diplme technique ou baccalaurat en sciences/ingnierie en chimie ou dans un domaine environnemental connexe
- 5-7 ans d'exprience industrielle dans le dveloppement de technologies environnementales, la mise en uvre ou le contrle des processus environnementaux et des oprations
- Exprience dans un rle ncessitant un leadership influent
- Exprience dans l'exploitation de systmes de filtration sche dans un environnement de fusion de l'aluminium
- Fortes comptences interpersonnelles et capacit communiquer et influencer les autres
- Connaissance des oprations des salles de cuves et des processus affectant les missions
Qualifications prfres
- Exprience dans l'exploitation des diffrents systmes de filtration sche dans un environnement production de l'aluminium et de filtration humide
- Connaissance des proprits de l'alumine et des impacts sur les filtres et les salles de cuves
- Connaissance du contrle des processus des salles de cuves et des oprations
About the role
The Manager - Scrubbing and Smelting Technology will provide technical expertise and hands on support to smelting operations. As part of the Smelting Manufacturing Excellence COE, you will be part of a team that brings together our technical experts to collaborate with operations globally.
Reporting to the Smelting Manufacturing Excellence Director, you will:
- Support Environmental Control processes and operations (primarily dry scrubbers associated with Fluoride Control in Potroom Gas Treatment Centers as well as PAH control associated with dry scrubbers in Anode Bake Furnaces) for smelting locations.
- Champion best practices in Environmental Compliance and Equipment Control, especially for Fluoride Emission Management (dry scrubbers and potrooms) and baking furnace emissions.
- Provide input to projects aimed at reducing total fluoride emissions and/or particulate matter from potroom roofs and fume control systems
- Support the development of leading indicators to ensure control systems operate effectively and efficiently, enabling compliance with applicable regulatory requirements
- Support discussions with asset and reliability management regarding maintenance and repair priorities of critical pollution control equipment that have a direct impact on maintaining environmental compliance requirements.
- Communicate and acquire support from individual plant management and OE COE leadership
- Documentation of findings and recommendations from plant visit and projects
- Provide training on emissions and scrubbing systems
- Collaboration with internal environmental process control experts on air sampling as well as pollution control system design and engineering
- 20-40% global travel to manufacturing sites
What you bring to the role
- Technical degree or Bachelor of Science/Engineering in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related environmental field
- 5-7 years industrial experience in environmental technology development, implementation or environmental process control and operations
- Experience in a role requiring influential leadership
- Experience in operations of dry scrubbers in aluminium smelting environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate and influence others
- Knowledge of the potroom operations, ventilation controls and the primary processes that affect emissions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in operations of the different dry scrubber systems in aluminium smelting environment.
- Knowledge of alumina properties and impacts on scrubbers and potrooms .
- Potroom process control and operational knowledge.
