. This individual will provide exceptional care to patients in their home setting, promoting health and independence through therapeutic exercise, functional training, and patient education. This individual contributor role requires a highly skilled and compassionate therapist who is dedicated to helping patients achieve their optimal physical potential.
Compensation & Benefits:
This is a full time, hourly position with a competitive compensation package of $70 to $80 per visit, paid bi-weekly, and we work around your schedule as well.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial and ongoing evaluations of patients to assess their physical needs and develop individualized treatment plans
- Administer therapeutic exercises and techniques, such as stretching, strengthening, and range of motion exercises, to promote improved mobility and function
- Utilize specialized equipment and modalities, such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation, to aid in patients' recovery and pain management
- Educate patients and their families on proper techniques for performing exercises and activities at home
- Monitor and document patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate and integrate treatment goals and plans
- Adhere to all ethical and legal standards in patient care, documentation, and communication
- Stay current on latest research and advancements in the field of physical therapy
Requirements:
- Valid and current license to practice physical therapy in the state of Michigan
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited university
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a physical therapist
- Proven ability to work independently, as well as collaborate effectively with healthcare team members
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Physical stamina and dexterity to work with patients of varying mobility levels
- Knowledge of and adherence to all applicable legal and ethical standards
