This role oversees the analytics team and enhances our analytical and reporting capabilities that convey plan performance while managing select accounts and working ad-hoc projects.

***We are looking for candidates with experience in benefits brokerage/consulting, specifically dealing with group benefits analytics.***
***This is NOT a traditional "data analytics" role where knowledge of programming or database languages like SQL and Python are required; this role is customer-facing and requires the ability to present customers analyses of their group benefits plans.***

Essential Duties and Functions:
- Manage a team including interviewing and hiring, developing teammates, delivering performance feedback, and teammate exits
- Provide overall oversight of the Analytics function
- Assign and monitor teammate work allocation
- Participate in client meetings with Producers
- Serve as final escalation contact for all analytical matters
- Develop relationships with carrier & senior client contacts
- Create plan design modifications for self-funded clients and conceptual insured plans
- Oversee, adapt, and modify core deliverables and projects to keep in line with industry trends, with overall goal of increasing client understanding
- Research, obtain data, review, and analyze new business prospects
- Act as primary liaison with Actuarial contact on financial projections, re-projections, state filings, etc. for their book of business
- Oversee and develop training and cross-training activities of staff, and new hires
- Train teammates on relevant tasks and projects
- Assist with evaluation of vendors, carrier-partners, service providers
- Manage expense approvals
- Participate in carrier-provided informational sessions as scheduled
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- 2-15 insurance designation
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 8-10 years of experience in analytical or related role
- 3-5 years of experience managing a team
- 3-5 years of experience in insurance industry
- Proficient with MS Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint
- Ability to negotiate and correspond via email and telephone
- Additional designations (GBA, CEBS, etc.) preferred
