Job Description
Summary/Objective
The FTU Site Manager is responsible for the comprehensive management of the Formal Training Unit. This includes supervising instructor staff, coordinating with program teams, and ensuring that training operations align with both client requirements and regulatory standards. The role demands effective leadership to foster a culture of safety, excellence, and continuous improvement within the training environment.

This position manages and leads projects and teams from diverse disciplines.
Work Environment, Programs, and Tools
This position operates in a closed office environment and requires an individual to walk, stand, sit, use hands/fingers to type, talk, listen and look. Reliable internet and connectivity to frequently meet on remote video platforms.
Required knowledge of the following tools, equipment, and programs includes: laptop, phone, scanner/printer/fax, Microsoft Office Suite such as SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel and Project, and Adobe Acrobat Pro. Proficiency in using contract lifecycle management tools to manage contract processes efficiently.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This position is located at the program site in Altus AFB, OK. Core business hours will adhere to the program site operation hours in the Eastern Time Zone.
This position is full time salaried exempt, expected to work no less than 80 hours a payroll period. This position may require evening/weekend work and work outside of the typical work hours as needed.
Travel
Must be able and willing to travel 5% to various locations to support Government, Program and subcontractor meetings.
Security Clearance
Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one within 6 months of employment.

- Manage daily operations of the FTU, ensuring efficient and effective training delivery.
- Lead and supervise instructor personnel, providing guidance, support, and performance evaluations.
- Collaborate with program management and other stakeholders to align training objectives with overall program goals.
- Implement and monitor quality control measures to maintain high training standards.
- Ensure all training activities comply with safety regulations and best practices.
- Oversee the allocation and maintenance of training resources, including simulators and instructional materials.
- Act as the primary point of contact for client representatives, addressing concerns and ensuring satisfaction.
- Identify opportunities for process enhancements and implement solutions to improve training effectiveness.
- All other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Aviation, Education, Management, or a related field.
- 3-8 years in a training management or leadership role within the defense or aerospace sector.
- Relevant certifications in training management, aviation safety, or program management are advantageous.
