What You'll Do:
- Directly lead and manage key HR Divisions, including Employment and Training, with responsibility for the full-service selection cycle ranging from recruitment, selection, and onboarding; to new employee orientation programs; and city-wide training and development programs.
- Partner with HR colleagues, City leadership, employees, and external stakeholders to drive impactful HR initiatives that support staff at every level.
- Interpret and apply HR laws, City policies, and procedures with confidence and accuracy.
- Inspire and support staff in fostering innovation, professional growth, and continuous development.

Qualifications and Requirements
Experience, Education, and Training
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Public or Business Administration, or a related field;
OR
- An equivalent combination of education and professional HR certification(s);
AND
- Four years of professional experience in a centralized human resources department which includes a variety of program areas as well as supervisory and management-level experience.
PREFERRED
- Experience in government or public sector human resources.
- Master's degree in a related area.
Licensing/Certification
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, CLRP, SPHR, or PHR certification desirable, but not required.
