State Minimum Requirements:
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
SCDC Minimum Requirements:
(Or an acceptable equivalency as approved by the Division of State Human Resources).
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and related nursing experience. Must hold an active license as a registered nurse.

Job Responsibilities
- Reviews medical encounters in NextGen and assess the nursing needs of inmates.
- Responds to corresponding inquires in the medical concerns response system (MCRS).
- Works with Division of Nursing (DON) to develop, coordinate, and implement nursing care plans.
- Maintains inmate records via NextGen and MCRS.
- Consults with DON and providers to prepare reports in response to medical request to staff on paper and electronically, legal inquires, LLR complaints, and inmate grievances.
- Evaluates and audits nursing services in response to MCRS inquires/escalates care management as needed.
- Develops standards and procedures in relation to the MCRS and its function in the process of institutional nursing care delivery.
- Completes special projects as assigned by the office of the Ombudsman.
