Job Purpose:

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide visionary leadership in alignment with the Catholic mission of the School, promoting an environment that nurtures academic achievement, moral integrity, and spiritual growth.
- Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of the curriculum to ensure high standards of academic excellence, integrating Catholic teachings throughout.
- Serve as chair of the admissions committee, make final decisions regarding student admissions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with students, parents, faculty, and the broader community, promoting a collaborative and supportive School culture.
- Recruit, hire, and evaluate faculty and staff, fostering professional development and creating a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Assign faculty regarding class loads, committee work, and supervisory responsibilities.
- Manage direct reports, fostering growth and ensuring alignment with organizational goals, conducting regular performance evaluations, and providing constructive feedback.
- Support the social, emotional, and spiritual development of students, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment conducive to learning.
- Serve as the primary contact for parent(s) when dealing with academic and discipline concerns and issues.
- Collaborate with the Board and administration to develop and manage the School budget, ensuring financial sustainability and effective resource allocation.
- Determine budgetary needs for the instructional and academic needs of the School and approve all academic and instructional related expenditures.
- Enforce School policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as diocesan guidelines.
- Manage academic records, reporting procedures, and School statistics.
- Serve as a member of the Disciplinary Review Board and assume the responsibility, in consultation with appropriate personnel, to enforce decisions regarding dismissal of students for academic and/or disciplinary reasons.
- Serve as a key spokesperson for the School, effectively communicating with all stakeholders through various channels, including newsletters, social media, and community events.
- Encourage spiritual and faith formation activities, promoting the integration of Catholic values in daily School life.
- Develop and implement crisis management plans, ensuring the safety and well-being of all students and staff.
- Work closely with the director of the summer school program in establishing curriculum, scheduling, and staffing.
- Coordinate the Querbes Scholars program, Scanlan Center, and STEM program.
- Serve as the liaison with Arrupe Virtual Learning Institute offering online courses to students.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the President.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Master's degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field. A degree in Theology or Pastoral Ministry is a plus.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in educational leadership, preferably in a Catholic school setting.
- Personal support of Saint Viator High School's mission and vision, exercises good judgment, personal integrity, and maturity.
- Practicing Catholic preferred; must support Catholic teachings and values.
- Project a positive image of Saint Viator High School and maintain confidentiality when appropriate.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and foster a collaborative work environment.
- Knowledge of current educational practices and trends, particularly in Catholic education.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse educational environment.
- Flexible hours required, including nights and weekends, to meet the demands of the defined events and activities on the School calendar.
- Engagement with students, families, and the broader community.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone and keyboard; and reach with hands and arms.
- Moderate lifting is required.
