ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION

SaVida Health is a specialty medical practice providing outpatient opiate and alcohol addiction
treatment services. SaVida Health care model includes medical care, counseling,
comprehensive toxicology testing, case management and medical management of psychiatric
medications. SaVida provides compassionate and individualized treatment programs to support
those with substance use disorder.

DESCRIPTION

The Psych Mental Health Nurse Practitioner function is to evaluate patients on the need for psychopharmacologic
interventions and subsequently monitor patients to assess symptom management, side effects
and efficacy of prescribed medications. Upon prescribing psychoactive medications, the APRN
will provide counseling to patients regarding compliance, dosing, side effects and any other
necessary education that will benefit the patients.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Identifies patient mental health problems and prescribes treatment
  • Implements mental health services utilizing therapeutic regimens
  • Work with Clinical Director, Practice Manager, and Medical Director to develop an integrated model of behavioral healthcare
  • Provides mental health education to patients, healthcare and medical staff
  • Provide health/behavioral health assessment (including differential diagnoses, prognosis), treatment recommendations and treatment planning for patients across assigned locations
  • Assure quality and safety of clinical care
  • Participate in case reviews and contribute to treatment planning goal setting
  • Communicate with health care providers outside of the practice and interpretation of health results for patient care planning


POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • PMHNP Licensed in MA
  • EMR software experience (Athena software a plus!)
  • U.S. DEA Certificate
  • Prior experience with Mental Health and Chemical Dependency treatment
