Position Overview:

The maintenance planner will manage planned maintenance and calibration scheduling to ensure all planned work is completed on time assuring manufacturing equipment remains compliant. Successful execution of planned work will require communication and coordination with multiple groups including quality, engineering, maintenance, operations, third party vendors, and other groups when required. Responsibilities include monitoring spare part consumption to predict and prevent stock out to control costs. Coordination of planned maintenance and calibration performed by third party vendors. Training others to use SAP for work execution, weekly reporting of KPIs related to asset management, and data analysis.

Responsibilities:
  • Report safety, quality, and regulatory compliance concerns to leadership.
  • Maintain accuracy and compliance of assets and associated PM/calibration plans in SAP.
  • Maintain/modify work plans in SAP based on input from engineering and/or data analysis.
  • Maintain an appropriate backlog of planned work (Corrective maintenance) ready for scheduling based on priorities established by Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering.
  • Prepare weekly work schedules to maximize efficiency of preventive maintenance and calibration.
  • Review all calibration work orders for accuracy and opportunities for improvement.
  • Perform data analysis to support internal and external department needs.
  • Monitor spare part consumption and adjust order points as necessary to prevent outages.
  • Reduce the cost of commercial and custom parts, working with vendors for best cost, finding new vendors, etc.
  • Work with vendors to plan and schedule calibration and maintenance on site.
  • Manage external calibration and maintenance with vendors including purchasing, shipping, and receiving.
  • Train maintenance/operations personnel in proper use of SAP to ensure highest quality work orders are produced and maintained for future reference.
  • Covering work assignments of co-workers during planned absences
  • This role will require the candidate to take on project work assigned as an individual contributor, or as a participant on cross functional teams.


Education & Experience

Minimum Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in a maintenance role on automated assembly equipment.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a maintenance planner using CMMS.
  • High School Diploma or GED


Preferred Skills & Competencies:
  • Associate degree in maintenance related field is desired.
  • Experience with SAP preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude, technical ability, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to understand written and verbal instructions.
  • Excellent attention to detail, good organization, and capable of working independently.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Technical writing skills to provide simple and accurate instructions.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Follows all policies, procedures, ergonomic standards, and safety requirements.


Physical Requirements:
  • Required to reach above shoulder and below waist occasionally.
  • Required to push and pull.
  • Ability to lift up to 20lbs occasionally.

Additional Information:
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $91,950.00 - $137,925.00. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the primary work location in the US. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
