Job Description
Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician

Job Specialty: Surgery

Job Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: Evening shift, 8 hours

Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week

Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Sterile Processing Technician

License: Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (must be from the American Heart Association)

Certifications: Certification for Sterile Processing Technician

Must-Have: Experience with EPIC charting

Job Description:

- Clean, disinfect, and sterilize hospital supplies, instruments, and trays to ensure sterilization and infection control measures are met.
- Utilize AAMI standards of care.
- Operate standard sterile processing equipment.
- Follow an 8-hour shift schedule, Monday through Friday, with call rotation required.
- Attend a department-specific training and orientation program.
- Wear provided scrubs as per dress code.
- Work within a department with 4 operating rooms.
