We are currently in search of a Director of Philanthropy for an International Cancer Foundation. The position is Hybrid in New York, NY. This is a full-time, permanent position.

POSITION TITLE: Director of Philanthropy

SCHEDULE: Full Time

DURATION: Permanent

SALARY RANGE: $120,000 - $150,000

Is This Your Dream Job? The Director of Philanthropy will work closely with the Executive Director. The Director of Philanthropy will work to create and implement a strategic approach to the foundations fundraising, focusing on corporate partnerships and individual donors. The ideal candidate is a self-starter and relationship-builder who takes initiative and can lead with integrity and a commitment to lifelong learning.

Our Ideal Candidate:

• 7+ years of experience in fundraising required
• Bachelor's Degree required
• Italian language proficiency required
• Experience cultivating international partnerships and cross-cultural relationships
• Proven ability to secure 5 and 6 figure gifts

How You Will Spend Your Day:

• Build and Manage a Major Donor Portfolio: Cultivate and oversee relationships with high-net-worth individuals, foundations, and corporations passionate about cancer research and health equity.
• Develop Strategic Partnerships: Build and sustain funding partnerships in both the U.S. and Italy, securing major contributions for the organization's mission.
• Create Compelling Proposals and Reports: Write and present impactful funding proposals and donor impact reports to communicate the importance and success of the organization's work.
• Lead Annual Benefit Gala Efforts: Collaborate on the planning and execution of the organization's Annual Benefit Gala, a key fundraising event.
• Donor Recognition and Retention: Design and implement strategies to recognize and retain donors, ensuring long-term support and engagement.
• Bridge Cross-Cultural Relationships: Build strong connections within both the American and Italian philanthropic communities, utilizing your understanding of cultural nuances and business protocols.
