Job Title: Surgical Technologist
Job Specialty: CST 6210 - Operating Room (OR)
Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Rotating 8-hour shifts; 0645-1515, 0900-1730, 1500-2330, 0700-1930 (weekend only)
Guaranteed Hours: 32 hours per week
Experience: Minimum of 1 year
License: Yes
Certifications: BLS, Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Verification, UAP
Must-Have:
- 1 year of experience with Open bellies GYN, Davinci Xi for general, Endo
- Experience in Ortho/Neuro OR or General/Robotics
Job Description:
- Work within a department that has a family atmosphere.
- Assist in a unit with 12 ORs, 1 Endo Suite, and 1 Cysto Suite.
- Common cases include ortho neuro total joints, sports medicine, and neuro-spinal fusions.
- Participate in ION robotic cases, Open Bellies, and Davinci XI for General/GYN*/Urology.
- Be proficient with Stryker towers and GYN cases.
- Work under a charge nurse available for all shifts from 7a-11p M-F and weekends 7a-7p; manager available until 4p M-F.
- Follow rotating 8-hour shift schedules set by the clinical supervisor.
- Participate in weeknight call 1-2 times per week; 1515-0645.
- Based on staffing, participate in weekend calls every 3-4 weekends, Friday 1515 to Monday 0645.
- Be willing to float for cross-training to ortho cases or as a 1:1 sitter as needed.
- Uniform scrub color is provided.
- Utilize EPIC charting system.
- Cooperate when required to work holidays in rotation with permanent staff.
- Ensure a 15-minute response time for calls, with 8-hour reprieve shifts post-call; sleep room and housing should be available nearby.
- Complete 4-5 days of unit/department-specific orientation and 2 buddy call shifts.
