- Assist operations team in troubleshooting production related issues
- Provide Process Safety Management (PSM) support

Customer Relations

- Work with customers and sales to resolve issues and/or complaints
- Identify opportunities for improvement
- Work with customer to ensure successful operation of new and ongoing projects

- Train and develop junior chemists
- Organize resources to provide laboratory and quality support for operations and pilot plant
Qualifications
- Minimum MS in Chemistry, PhD preferred
- Minimum 20 years experience in laboratory / chemical processing environment
- Organic Chemistry Experience in batch and continuous processing, distillation, filtration, solids handling,, alkoxylation, maleation, esterification, amine-acid reactions, Mannich base reactions, phenol-formaldehyde Reactions preferred.
- Experience in batch processing preferred
- Product and Process development experience required; strong synthesis background preferred
- Process scale up experience preferred
- PSM experience required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to timely communicate to Management and to Subordinates
- Strong Leadership skills a plus
