Product Lead

JOB SUMMARY

The Product Lead for Innovation Hub Americas will oversee product enhancements and lifecycle management for the Americas region, focusing on control valves, damper actuators, and sensors & meters. This role involves translating stakeholder needs into system specifications and coordinating with local teams (Product Management, Supply Chain, and Production) and global engineering teams. The position requires strong coordination and project management skills, HVAC and Building Automation expertise, and the ability to manage cross-functional projects in a multinational environment.

REPORTING STRUCTURE

The Product Lead reports to the Head of Product Engineering Americas in Danbury.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead product enhancements for the Americas region, converting stakeholder needs into system specifications for control valves, damper actuators, and sensors & meters.
• Coordinate local departments such as Product Management, Supply Chain, and Production to ensure alignment in product development and support.
• Manage product openings and changes in PLM/ERP systems, including creating new configurations for the Americas.
• Collaborate with global engineering teams on control valves, damper actuators, and sensors for technical verifications and improvements.
• Lead local quality cases, addressing concerns and ensuring corrective actions across product categories.
• Provide 3rd level customer support, handling complex technical inquiries and ensuring efficient resolutions across the Americas.
• Lead technical feasibility studies for new products, assessing market and customer needs. Coordinate projects to stay on budget, schedule, and meet quality standards.
• Manage projects with multinational teams and external partners, ensuring smooth execution, risk management, and adherence to quality requirements.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering or Technology (e.g., Automation, Mechanical, Electrical, Sensors, Industrial, Computer Science).
• 5+ years in product lifecycle management, project coordination, and technical support.
• Strong organizational, project management, presentation and communication skills.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems and Building Automation/Management Systems.
• Familiar with R&D processes for control valves, damper actuators, and sensors & meters.
• Experience with MS Office, SAP, and PLM software.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and support multiple projects.
• Strong teamwork ethic and the ability to work autonomously with initiative and urgency.
• Comfortable working in a multicultural environment and open to travel (

Preferred:

• Proven experience with product development and project management for commercial HVAC applications.
• Knowledge of field bus communication (e.g., BACnet/Modbus) and IoT integration.
